1. The faculty member meeting between the Wando

    Fisheries High School (Wandosugo) and the Bridgeport

    Regional Vocational Aquaculture School (BRVAS).

- To develop a draft of the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between Wandosugo and BRVAS for establishing the sister school partnership on educational exchange the faculty members of BRVAS visited Wandosugo) in November 2003.

- The visitors are Mr. John Curtis

-              Director, Bridgeport Regional Vocational Aquaculture School

-              Dr. Clarence Tolbert

-              Associate superintendent of Bridgeport school

-              Dr. Charles Yarish

-              University of Connecticut

 

After the meeting, they produced the following letter of intent

 

LETTER OF INTENT

 

This letter of intent is in follow-up to the Korea-U.S. Joint Coordination Meeting for Aquaculture Cooperation held on April 15-16, 2002 in Pusan, Korea, between faculty members from the Wando Fisheries High School (Wandosugo) and the Bridgeport Regional Vocational Aquaculture School (BRVAS).

 

As part of the follow-ups discussed at the Pusan meeting, three representatives of BRVAS visited Wandosudo on April 8, 2003 and agreed to:

 

- Make a reciprocal visit (3-4 representatives from Wandosugo) to BRVAS in November 2003;

 

- Being developing a draft of the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between Wandosugo and BRVAS for establishing the sister school partnership on educational  exchange (Wandosugo lead); and

 

- Prepare the MOA to be signed at the November visit in Bridgeport, Connecticut, U.S.A.

 

The letter is signed on April 8, 2003, in Wando, Republic of Korea, in duplicate in English and Korean, both texts being equally authentic.

 

2. Expert exchange

 

Professor C. H. Sohn visited University of Connecticut to support algal culture project in Connecticut from the start of March, 2003 for 6 months under the name of the Korea-U.S. Joint Coordination Meeting for Aquaculture Cooperation held on April 15-16, 2002 in Busan, Korea
