Fishery Environment Protection Research Division (FEPRD) located in Beijing is a specialized institution, involved in nationwide fishery environment protection, environment monitoring, data collection and processing, and rare aquatic animals and plants conservation.
FEPRD has two sections: fishery environment protection and rare aquatic animals and plants conservation.
Since its foundation, the outstanding research results that FIIRC has achieved are: Diagnostic technology for poisoned freshwater fish, effect of the development of ship dismantleing on the fisheries in China, and rare aquatic animals and plants conservation catalogue.
