Guidelines for retention of second copies
 

Retain second copies of documents that emanate from** the following corporate bodies and/or conferences:

NOAA

Grantees of NOAA's National Sea Grant College Program

Conferences where NOAA is either the sponsor or one of a group of sponsors

American Meteorological Society (AMS)

Integrated Ocean Observing System (U.S.) (IOOS)

Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission (IOC)

Exceptions to the above list may be made at the discretion of NCL librarians.
 
 

** The Library of Congress rule interpretation for AACR2R rule 21.1B2 equates "emanate from" with "issued by", "caused to be issued by", or "originates with".
