MARC 090 - Locally Assigned LC-Type Call Number

1. Scope

Field 090 contains the Library of Congress call number for the item.

2. Indicators

Both indicators are blank.

3. Subfields

|a Locally-assigned LC Classification number. This field contains the class number portion of the call number, including any first cutters in a double or triple cuttered call number.

|b Local Cutter number. This field contains the book (or item) number portion of the call number, including cutter, year, and numbering, as appropriate.
